Tree Photography and Our Heritage
Trees are some of our most valuable assets. The next time you are walking down the street take a closer look at the trees around you, the chances are they are older than you. Some of our most senior trees in Britain the in particular the Yew have been found to be some 3,000 years old.
Oaks. Hornbeams and Beeches, some of our most common trees can often be several hundred years old. So the next time you think of chopping down a tree in your garden give it some thought, it may well be protected as most old trees are and it may well have lived there a lot longer than you.
Trees are our natural heritage and deserve as much recognition as any other piece of our heritage whether it be an industrial relic or an old Victorian building.
