ABV offers a service where commercial work can be commissioned.
Our experience covers industry, commerce, architecture and conservation.
We offer a full design service including photography and artwork, providing annual reports, brochures and publications at competitive rates. The money we earn from this enables A British Vision to continue to develop its ideas and concepts. High Resolution Scanning and Archival Printing
ABV can scan and retouch photographs and negatives to a very high quality.
Our intention is where ever possible only to distribute or sell images that are suitable for high quality reproduction. ABV is a not for profit company and therefore relies on raising an income from these services in order to cover our costs of funding these projects. We welcome any enquiries and will soon be creating an online price structure for these services.
Scanning recommendations are where possible 300dpi A3+ on a good quality scanner. Images should be un-sharpened but clean,
Our scanning is done using drum and flatbed scanners that provide the very best high resolution files. This is extremely important as the original negatives and transparencies have often started to deteriorate with time and storage and once lost then only the digital copies will remain.Our images are then stored in our database and catalogued so that they can be viewed on line.

Our Printing Services
Archival Giclee prints are our specialty - Reason, we like to produce prints that can last a lifetime using archival inks and papers and are of the finest quality. Our subjects are heritage images and therefore only the best quality will suffice as these will become the possible originals for future generations. Most of our artwork is printed on archival watercolour, matt, gloss and canvas media in a range of sizes from A4 to A1.

Original photography and computer generated files
We shoot most of our new material in digital format. We recommend that if you intend to supply ABV with images that you always shoot maximum quality, preferably RAW files or TIFS, these should be with a camera above 5mb if possible. Cleaning and retouching in Photoshop® should only be undertaken with a good knowledge of photography and calibration as images can be ruined, if in doubt - don't. Again do NOT sharpen.
